I am bored. I am bored and tired and lacking any motivation just like many my age. However, weirdly, this is the perfect opportunity to do all the things I never had 'time' for. Before being cooped up at home all day, everyday, I was busy and I always said I never had any time. I balanced (or at least tried to balance) my A-Levels, being a Young Leader, a Ranger, boxing and clubs I enjoyed as well as my part time job, oh and a social life. See I like being busy and I like having things to do.
I have some advice, advice that I will try and listen to myself. If you are someone like me who is used to life going at a thousand miles an hour but now it's come to a screeching halt and you find yourself with empty days just twiddling your thumbs, then make a list. A list of all the things you were too busy to do when life was filled with distractions. Write down all the things you've wanted to try but never had the chance to start. Write down your hobbies, the things that make you happy, things to do that will give your day just a little bit of joy. Then do one thing on your list everyday. You can do more than one of course, but everyday at least do one. Put all these extra hours to use and do all the things we never had time to do before.
One more thing, if any one is feeling a little blue and very much bored, that is okay. Life has changed dramatically and everyone is finding a way to cope with what's been dealt. Just don't feel too sorry for yourself for too long! Make a list and start doing the things we finally have time for.
Keep your chins up and make the most of all this spare time!
Emily ;)
